On 15th November 2001, artist John Bourne emailed the Stuckists for the first time, expressing interest in joining them. On the 16th November he received an encouraging reply from the co-founder of the Stuckists, Charles Thomson. The reply made clear that joining meant forming a new Stuckist group, and so the Wrexham Stuckists was born. The painting above by Charles Thomson is an example of his early style.
