The Beach

Self taught I presently follow a career at sea where I work as a ship's
Captain. I
see my art as an escapism from the reality of my full time occupation.
Largely
influenced by the Bauhaus movement I try to paint with a sense of balance
and order
in either the subject matter or in the application of the paint itself. To
this
extent I paint from a 'mechanical' point of view, visualizing the subject
as a
manufactured process. For me painting is an expression of one's own
creative ability
and imagination.
